As the founder of Type One Wellness, I want to help people with diabetes learn, manage and live happy, healthy lives through prevention and positive lifestyle choices. I want to help you define purpose and set goals to achieve improved health outcomes.
I think it is important to have a personal connection with clients, so they have someone to talk to who listens without judgment and supports them in efforts to improve their health.

I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 21. It was unexpected as I was very healthy throughout my life. After learning more about my own new life and the challenges I had, I wanted to help others who faced the same things. I have been diabetic for 35 years and have experiences from my own life with T1 diabetes.
I have over 30 years of experience as an educator, trainer, consultant and coach.
My expertise spans teaching, mentoring, coaching, behavioral science, accelerated learning, neuroscience, leadership and program development. My professional experience includes K-12 public education along with distinction at the university level.
I have created innovative learning programs and have an established reputation for facilitating amazing results. My intuitive and personable nature makes me highly effective working with individuals in a personal and wellness coaching capacity, and I am able to affect change across work, personal and cultural boundaries.
I have two advanced degrees in education with credentials in psychology, health and wellness promotion, nutritional science, and I am a certified nutrition specialist with membership through the National Wellness Institute and the American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists along with training from Wellcoaches Institute.
